hello! today i'll be reporting about the Pride Parade in Vegas! this is my very first time going to one. i think we celebrate in June generally, but all the main activities get pushed to October because of the terrible heat we experience during June. which makes a lot of sense, it's WAY too unsafe.

this might also be why it was held at night, starting with the pre-show at 6PM. my brother and i didn't make it to the preshow, but we were just on time for the parade to start pushing out. if there was anything i wish i knew for sure before coming out here, it's that you get handed out a lot of free stuff?? i had asked my brother before we left his car if i should bring my backpack. he told me to leave it. what a mistake, lol! pride loot is ridiculous!

i didn't take pictures of every parade group, mainly the most flashy ones and ones that resonated. i'll try to mention and make a small blurb about them, too!

one of the very first things i noticed was this wonderful bus, covered with many different flags and variations of the pride flags. this belongs to "the Phoenix", a LGBTQ+ bar in Vegas. I've never been to any gay bar, but i'd love to go sometime. it's hard to take good pictures, but i believe this is dubbed the "Cuddle Bus".

shock! the Omega Mart truck is here! Omega Mart is an interactive art gallery experience over at Area 15, by Meow Wolf. i've been to Omega Mart twice to really absorb the place. it's one of my favorite experiences ever! Meow Wolf takes a bit of pride with being inclusive, so it makes sense to see them here with their surrealist vision.

a Star Wars group! i'm not such a big fan, but my brother is! however the series is so ingrained in pop culture, that i know and appreciate a lot about it. so i think it was really nice to see. they started having lightsaber battles midway the parade!

Resorts World. it's a fairly new hotel casino that opened up here, but i think it exists in other parts of the world. the company that owns it is based in Malaysia, so the theme is Asian in general. it seems they have this very pretty fox spirit here to represent! i don't know if they are from any shows that they might do.. i have yet to visit Resorts World and i'd like to change that soon!

this is getting pretty long, so i'm going to throw in some multiple of pictures below! there's some corporate pride nonsense thrown in here, but i appreciate a funky float, i guess (lol). my airplane loving self just loved the balloon airplane a bit much.

so to end it all, boom. here is the confetti, glittery gay aftermath of the parade. and also the loot i got!

hopefully i'll find some better way to blog that isn't just loading in a shitton of images, lol. see ya next time though, i'll report about the Pride festival!!
